The initial batches in a few centers in Mumbai were implemented by DRF LABS personnel, while simultaneously training their KEF counterparts. In the second phase, a few centers were jointly operated by both KEF and DRF personnel. In the final phase, a few more centers were implemented by Kotak LABS staff, under the overall guidance of DRF personnel.

The one-year ‘handholding’ period with KEF came to a formal conclusion in February 2008, during which DRF had assisted KEF in setting up LABS centers at Tara, Bandra, Shivkar, CBD Belapur and Chembur.

DRF continues to support Kotak LABS with training and quality audit. Course completion certificates to the aspirants are also jointly issued by KEF and DRF. KEF regularly organizes meetings with several corporates and NGOs partnering in its social interventions, and discusses ways to strengthen their involvement and support.
